Duct Sealing Methods

Duct sealing is conducted a number of different ways. The most common method involves painting mastic into the leaks. Once the mastic dries, it is stiff enough to keep the leak sealed but flexible enough to move with the ducts. Oftentimes, the mastic will be supplemented with metallic regulation duct tape. This helps stabilize the seal.
